15 Weeks to PACES is a structured tournament for candidates preparing for the exam. It is based at POSGH, but open to other RHAs. We meet regularly on the wards, and practise examinations and presentations.

The game plan

Three phases.
Fifteen weeks.

We build the exam in layers, so you are not trying to become a polished PACES candidate at 11:47 pm the night before.

  1. Weeks 1–5

    Prepare

    Find your feet

Station orientation, case structure and the clinical skills that everything else depends on.

  2. Weeks 6–10

    Practise

    Do the actual thing

Intense practise, individual feedback and adapting your approach to unfamiliar scenarios.

  3. Weeks 11–15

    Polish

    Make it exam-ready

Higher-level discussion, presentation clarity and the calm confidence that only comes from repetition.

Prepare. Practise. Polish.

Fifteen weeks.
One exam-ready candidate.
